Bronwen Griffiths

Bronwen is an experienced executive who has worked in critical roles across the Australian and Queensland Governments, including a decade as a senior executive officer in the Queensland departments of the Premier and Cabinet, and Education and the Arts. 

She has advised governments on a range of seminal economic and social policy reforms.  She has extensive experience in the preparation of budgets and economic statements, and the development and implementation of social policy reforms.  

Bronwen has worked across a wide range of issues including superannuation, tax reform, economic structural reform, women’s economic security, application of national competition policy to the electricity market and local government operations, child protection, youth justice, domestic and family violence, disability support, early childhood education and care, school organisational reforms, VET funding, policy and regulation.

Bronwen is a strong conceptual thinker who is able generate fresh ideas and innovative solutions to complex issues.  She has strong stakeholder engagement skills and can distil issues quickly through an analytical and pragmatic approach. She is honest with a straight-forward manner which is valued by stakeholders. She adds value through her in-depth understanding of how government operates in the bureaucratic and political spheres and how to effectively organise, negotiate and lead strategic change agendas.


Bronwen has an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Queensland and has completed the ANZSOG Executive Workshop in Managing Regulation, Enforcement and Compliance.


In addition to her expertise in the training and education sectors, Bronwen’s key areas of expertise are in:

  • Regulatory policy, strategy, risk identification and management through data analytics and regulatory design.
  • Policy development and implementation through problem identification, stakeholder engagement, research and option analysis and selection.
