Kent has more than 20 years’ experience as a Managing Director of a successful private organisational consulting firm serving the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, complemented by 15 years in executive roles in the public sector including six years in the Senior Executive Service.
His public sector roles were focussed on central improvement of public sector management, provision of service-wide information services and justice and law.
As an organisational consultant he has provided assistance to every public sector agency with major reviews for the justice and law enforcement, social service, natural resources, local government and education and training sectors. He has led successful, very large projects in the health, indigenous affairs and transport sectors.
Kent adds value to an organisation through his insight into organisational performance backed up by the depth and breadth of his experiences. For Kent, there are no surprises in the challenges he faces but he applies skill and determination to craft practical solutions tailored to the particular circumstances.
Kent holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. He is a trained Gateway Review Team Leader and is trained and accredited to conduct mediations and facilitations under the dispute Resolutions Centre Act 1990.
Kent is Conjoint Fellow, Centre for Institutional and Organisation Studies, University of Newcastle.
